The Effect of Employees' Perceptions of Organizational Justice on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: An Applicationin Turkish Public Hospital

Abstract
Today, the most important element for the efficient and effective functioning of organizations is human resource. Organizations need employees whom performance goes beyond formal duties as a vitalsource of organizational effectiveness. On the other hand, employees exhibit higher levels of performance and act more than their job descriptions when they believe they are treated fairly at workplace. Based on this, two important organizational concepts will be recognized which are called as organizational citizenship behavior and organizational justice. In this study, the effect of employees' who are working in a hospital, perceptions of organizational justice on organizational citizenship behavior were investigated. The work group of the study is formed by 162 employees (58.27 %) working as anallied health personnel consists of nurse, midwife, laboratory technician and medical secretary. At the end of study, distributive justice has a positive effect on the conscientious and courtesy; interactional justice has a positive effect on the conscientious and civic virtue. Organizational justice perception factor explains 3.1% of the OCB. According to these results, increasing employees’ justice perceptions in a positive way, OCB can beslightly improved.
